Delegate Voting Instructions:
All of the NMI Convention documents (including ballots/voting) will be accessed through the Chicago Central District App. Be sure your smartphones have the latest software updates installed. Please download and access the app BEFORE Saturday so that you are prepared and ready to go when you get to the convention. Assistance will be available if you encounter any issues.
To Access the App on your device (phone/tablet):
- Click here to download from the Apple App Store
- Click here to download from the Google Play Store
- Once you have installed the app, open it and “Sign Up” using the email address to which this email was sent.
- If you get an error stating you already have a login associated with this email address, it may be connected to the District Toolbox through the Pastor Dashboard. If this is the case, login with your Pastor Dashboard credentials instead of creating an account.
- Select the language you prefer and the District (Chicago Central)
- Once you login, select the menu (three lines) at the top right of the app and select “Edit Profile”
- Your information should be listed there, though you may need to select your “Language” and “District” (Chicago Central) again.
- Click “Update User,” close out the screen and you’re all set!
The Convention handbook and ballot will be found in the app. Keep in mind that ballots will not go “live” until we are in the voting process, but you will be able to view sample ballots in advance. If you do not have a smartphone or a tablet, you will be able to share devices to vote. Each delegate will be given a unique voter ID which will be specific to the voter, not the device, so more than one person can vote on a particular device using their assigned voter ID. We will have a tech team available at the convention to help you download the app and access the NMI Convention materials if you have any trouble.
Translation:
Translation will be available on Saturday through a web-based program called Wordly. If you would like to receive translation, please bring a smartphone or tablet (be sure it is fully charged) and headphones for your device. We will have signs with a QR code for you to scan with your device’s camera to join the Wordly translation session
Work Project Participants:
- Serve Day Flyer
- Be sure to wear clothes you can work in and layers are probably good as the expected high is 38 degrees that day and partly sunny. I’ll be wearing jeans and my work project T-shirt. You’ll receive your T-shirt in the gym, when you check in. Please get that and change into it before the convention begins.
- Your name badge will have your requested T-shirt size and your boxed lunch selection you chose, in case you forgot. Be sure to look for it. We’ll have a list as well.
- Right after the convention business session is over, approx 12pm, we will meet in the gym to collect our boxed lunches. At 12:45 we will need to head to our work projects. Seth Peachey will provide us with more information at lunch.
- Once projects are over, approx. 3pm, we will meet back in the sanctuary to share about our experiences and blessings of the day. After this debrief, we will be finished for the day.
