Dear NMI President,
Let me take this opportunity to thank you for your service to the kingdom as you serve as the NMI president of your congregation. God bless you!
November is the month we take our annual traditional Thanksgiving Offering. Recently the name of this offering was changed to the Thank Offering. It is used to fund the World Evangelism Fund. You will find several ways to promote this offering on the Chicago Central District’s NMI webpage.
The special prayer emphasis for the month of November is the International Day of Prayer (IDOP). Here is some important information for you to use:
International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church
Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.
-- Hebrews 13:3
The International Day of Prayer (IDOP) is always the second Sunday of November (this was determined by World Evangelical Fellowship, who started IDOP).
November 8, 2015
Nazarene Missions International (NMI) encourages Nazarenes to join Christians around the world in prayer on November 8, 2015. The International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church (IDOP) provides opportunity for Christians worldwide to focus on those suffering for their Christian faith.
